Noah H. - 3 months

The clouds were rolling in, the thunder was sounding off and by the time we ended our session, the rain was pouring.

But that didn't stop us!

Noah was an absolute gem for his 3 month session, with those HUGE beautiful eyes and all those expressions for the camera. And big sister Lily Ann was wonderful as well. Two absolutely precious kiddos!

Luke W: Three months old

It's always amazing to me how much a baby changes in those first few months of life. Luke is no exception. 

Luke allowed me the pleasure of taking his photos once again (not that he had any choice in the matter, ha!) 

And his big sister, Brynn, allowed me to take a few, or rather a lot, of photos of her, too. 

They are seriously two very precious children.

Aidille commercial shoot featuring Chloe

I recently did a shoot with my daughter, Chloe, for Aidille. Aidille is a boutique that specializes in beautiful hand-crafted applique designs for children. You can find their etsy store here, and check them out on facebook here. 

When we received the outfit and matching hair clip in the mail, Chloe's reaction was pure joy. What little girl wouldn't want to wear this colorful, one-of-a-kind creation! 2011 Marion Senior: Nicholas M.

Some people are all about last minute. I completely understand, as I'm usually a bit last minute myself. But I (almost) always get it done, and that's what counts, right?!? As I'm adding names to my 2012 Senior photo session list, I was finishing up a few last-minute 2010 senior session. Nicholas is one of them. Such a nice guy, this was an easy session. Sanders Photography And Design facebook giveaway winner

Thank you to everyone who entered the first-ever giveaway hosted by Sanders Photography And Design. I have been wanting to give away a session for awhile now to show my appreciation to all who follow my work, and exceeding 400 facebook fans seemed like the perfect event to celebrate! 

I could have just used randon.org. or some other type of easy method of choosing a winner. But what fun would that be? So, I placed everyone's names who entered on pieces of paper, some of which got two entries for posting about the giveaway in their facebook status...


And put them in a hat...


And had one of my favorite photo subjects, my three-year-old daughter Chloe, draw the winner...


She was happy to help. Actually, really, really happy...



"Who's gonna win?" she kept repeating over and over again. "I can't take it, mom"...

 I told her it's about time to end the suspsense and find out. She asked me what 'suspense' means. I then remembered I was talking to a preschooler. But I digress.

I asked Chloe to close her eyes and get ready to draw a name. And that, she did. Is it you?

Congratulations Darrah Bateman! But that's not all. 

In honor of Mother's Day... 

I thought it would be nice to draw one more name and award one more free photo session. So, congratulations to Rachelle Fitzgibbon, too!

And although it was fun to help mom draw a name, after it was all said and done, Chloe was just happy to have her hat back...
